What Responsible Gambling Means at six6c
Gambling should be a form of entertainment — the same way watching a PSL final or following Pakistan's ICC campaign is entertainment. It carries an element of excitement, risk and unpredictability. That is precisely what makes it appealing to millions of cricket fans and sports bettors across Pakistan.
But gambling is only healthy entertainment when it stays within limits you are comfortable with — financially, emotionally and time-wise. The moment it starts feeling like an obligation, a way to recover losses, or something you are doing in secret, it has crossed a line that needs addressing.
six6c provides a range of practical tools — deposit caps, loss limits, session time reminders, cooling-off periods and self-exclusion — to help every user maintain that healthy balance. These tools are not there to restrict your enjoyment; they are there to protect it long-term.
We also acknowledge the legal context clearly: Pakistan's Prevention of Gambling Act, 1977 and related legislation affect the legal status of online gambling in Pakistan. six6c does not claim government authorisation and does not provide legal advice. Users are responsible for understanding the laws applicable to them.
Your Responsible Gambling Controls
Every registered six6c user has access to these controls via their account settings. We encourage you to review and configure them before you start betting.
Deposit Limits
Set a maximum deposit amount on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. For example, you might decide your maximum monthly betting budget is PKR 5,000 — set that as your deposit cap and the Platform will not permit you to exceed it within that cycle, regardless of how the bets are going.
Loss Limits
Define the maximum amount you are willing to lose over a given period. Once your net losses reach that threshold within the set period, further wagering is suspended automatically. This is particularly useful for protecting your budget during big-match periods like PSL finals or ICC knockout stages.
Session Time Limits
Set a maximum duration for each betting session. Once the limit is reached, the Platform will send a reminder and may pause your session. This helps prevent the well-documented tendency to lose track of time during live cricket betting or live casino sessions.
Cooling-Off Period
Request a temporary break from betting activity — for 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or another period of your choosing. During a cooling-off period, your account remains open but betting is suspended. Useful if you notice your play is becoming more emotionally reactive than considered.
Self-Exclusion
Self-exclusion is available for longer periods — typically 6 months, 1 year, 5 years or permanently. Once activated, your account is suspended for the full exclusion term and cannot be reopened early. Contact support@six6c.cam to initiate self-exclusion at any time, any day.
Reality Checks
Enable periodic on-screen notifications that display how long you have been playing and your net balance for the current session. These reminders are designed to interrupt automatic or habitual betting patterns and encourage you to make a conscious decision about whether to continue.
Setting & Adjusting Your Limits
Daily / Weekly / Monthly Cap
Access your Account Settings and navigate to Responsible Gambling. Enter your preferred PKR amount for the applicable period. The limit takes effect immediately. Reductions are applied at once; increases require a cooling-off waiting period before they take effect.
Net Loss Threshold
Define the maximum PKR amount you can lose over a defined window. Your net loss is calculated as total deposits minus total withdrawals and current balance during the period. When reached, new bets are blocked until the period resets.
Time-Based Play Limit
Set a maximum number of minutes or hours per session. When your session time expires, you will receive a clear notification. You can choose to end the session or, after a mandatory pause and confirmation step, continue. No automatic restart without user action.
Full Account Suspension
Contact support or use the self-exclusion tool in your account. Minimum exclusion is 6 months. During exclusion, no deposits can be made and the account is fully suspended. Marketing communications are stopped immediately. Real-money balances are returned after identity verification.
Limit Adjustment Policy: Lowering any limit (deposit, loss or session) takes effect immediately. Raising a limit requires a mandatory waiting period of up to 7 days to provide a cooling-off buffer. This deliberate friction is intentional — it gives you time to reconsider whether increasing your limit is the right decision. six6c will not override this waiting period under any circumstances.
Check In With Yourself
The questions opposite are a self-assessment tool — not a clinical diagnostic. They are adapted from widely recognised problem gambling screening frameworks. Answer honestly, for yourself, with no one watching.
If you find yourself answering "Yes" or "Sometimes" to several of these questions, it may be a signal that your relationship with gambling needs attention. The questions are not there to alarm you — they are there to prompt honest reflection.
If you are concerned about your responses, please contact the six6c support team to discuss limit-setting or self-exclusion, and seek independent support from a qualified mental health or counselling professional. This applies equally to users in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Peshawar or anywhere else in Pakistan.
This is a visual self-reflection tool only. It is not a clinical test and does not substitute for professional assessment. If you are in crisis, please seek professional help immediately.
Warning Signs of Problem Gambling
Problem gambling often develops gradually. The earlier these patterns are recognised, the easier it is to address them before serious harm occurs.
Spending more money or time gambling than you intended or can comfortably afford.
Chasing losses — placing more bets to try to recover money already lost on previous bets.
Gambling to escape stress, anxiety, boredom or difficult emotions rather than for entertainment.
Lying to family, friends or colleagues about how much you are gambling or how much you have lost.
Neglecting work, studies, family responsibilities or personal health because of time spent gambling.
Borrowing money, using savings, or selling possessions to fund gambling activity.
Feeling unable to stop or cut down despite wanting to and having tried to do so before.
Experiencing physical symptoms like restlessness, irritability or insomnia when not gambling.
Continuing to gamble after significant financial losses that have impacted household finances.
Repeated unsuccessful attempts to set limits on your own — and breaking them shortly after.
Using gambling as the primary way to feel excitement, achievement or a sense of control.
Thinking about gambling constantly — when at work, at family events or trying to sleep.
If several of the above apply to you: Please do not continue gambling while in this state. Contact six6c support to activate self-exclusion (support@six6c.cam) and seek guidance from a qualified mental health or financial counselling professional. You are not alone and help is available.
How Self-Exclusion Works at six6c
Self-exclusion is the most comprehensive player protection tool available on six6c. It is designed for users who feel they need a complete, enforced break from gambling — not a soft restriction they might override under pressure.
Once a self-exclusion request is activated, the following protections apply immediately:
- Account suspension: Your account is locked. No login, no deposits, no wagers.
- Marketing stopped: All promotional emails, SMS and push notifications are halted immediately.
- Balance protection: Your real-money balance is held securely and returned to you after identity verification once the exclusion period ends — or upon permanent closure.
- No early reversal: The exclusion period cannot be shortened or overridden, regardless of the reason.
- Re-registration blocked: Any attempt to register a new account during the exclusion period will be rejected.
Self-exclusion periods available at six6c: 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, 5 years, or Permanent.
To activate self-exclusion at any time: email support@six6c.cam with the subject line "Self-Exclusion Request" and include your registered account email. Our team will process the request promptly.
Ten Tips for Responsible Play
Set Your Budget Before You Start
Decide the maximum PKR amount you are comfortable losing before opening any betting market. Treat it as an entertainment budget — just like the cost of a match ticket — not an investment.
Never Chase Losses
If you have hit your session or daily loss limit, stop. Chasing losses is the most common pathway into problem gambling. Accept the outcome and return another day with a fresh budget.
Keep Gambling Separate From Bill Money
Never bet with money allocated for household expenses, rent, school fees or any essential costs. Your PKR betting budget should be genuinely disposable — money you can afford to lose completely.
Take Regular Breaks
Step away from live betting at regular intervals, especially during long cricket sessions like Test matches or extended T20 evenings. Set session time limits and honour them.
Understand the Odds
The house always has a mathematical edge. No betting strategy guarantees profit over time. Treat betting as entertainment — the same way you might treat watching a match in a restaurant — not as a reliable income stream.
Do Not Bet Under the Influence
Alcohol or other substances impair judgement. Decisions made while impaired often lead to larger, less considered bets — and larger regrets the next morning.
Adults-Only Access & Underage Protection
six6c operates a strict adults-only policy. The minimum age to register and use the Platform is 18 years — or the higher minimum required by the applicable operator or license jurisdiction. This policy is non-negotiable and is enforced through the KYC identity verification process.
Being 18 years of age does not, of itself, make gambling lawful in Pakistan under the Prevention of Gambling Act, 1977. Users are solely responsible for determining whether their use of the Platform is lawful in their jurisdiction.
If you share a device with younger family members in your household — whether in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi or any other city — we strongly recommend using device-level parental controls or filtering software to prevent underage access to gambling websites.
No Underage Registration
Accounts opened by individuals under 18 (or the higher applicable minimum) will be closed immediately. Any balances or bonuses held will be forfeited or returned after investigation.
Mandatory Age Verification
KYC verification requiring government-issued ID (such as Pakistani CNIC) is mandatory. Accounts that cannot complete age verification are restricted from depositing or wagering.
Household Device Controls
We recommend parental control software for shared household devices. Tools like Net Nanny, Kaspersky Safe Kids and built-in device screen time controls can restrict access to gambling websites for minors.
Report Underage Access
If you believe a person under 18 has accessed or registered on six6c, please contact us immediately at support@six6c.cam. We will investigate and act on all reports promptly.
Getting Help Beyond six6c
If you feel your gambling is causing harm, six6c's own tools are a starting point — but professional support is always the right next step. Below are the types of resources and guidance you should seek out.
Mental Health Professionals
If gambling is affecting your mental health, seek support from a licensed psychologist, psychiatrist or counsellor. Problem gambling is recognised as a behavioural health condition and is treated effectively with professional support. Ask your doctor for a referral or contact a licensed mental health provider in your city.
Support Groups
Peer support groups provide a confidential space to share experiences with others facing similar challenges. Gamblers Anonymous-style support frameworks operate in various countries. Ask a counsellor or mental health professional about locally accessible options relevant to your situation in Pakistan.
Financial Counselling
If gambling debt or financial stress is part of the picture, a qualified financial counsellor can help you create a recovery plan, negotiate with creditors and rebuild your financial foundation. Free financial counselling services exist in Pakistan — enquire with local NGOs or social welfare organisations.
Family & Relationship Support
Problem gambling affects not just the individual but families across Pakistan — in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and beyond. Family counselling and relationship support services can help repair the trust and communication damage that problem gambling often causes.
Self-Help Resources
Structured self-help workbooks based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approaches are widely available and have strong evidence behind them for addressing problem gambling. Ask a health professional to recommend appropriate materials for your situation.
